Advance Transit Names Teri Palmer Executive Director
Advance Transit (AT), a fare-free public transportation provider serving communities in Vermont and New Hampshire, has named Teri Palmer as its next Executive Director, effective January 19, 2026. Current Executive Director Adams Carroll will remain through February to support a smooth leadership transition.
Palmer steps into the role with decades of experience in transportation, mobility management, and public service. Most recently serving as New Hampshire’s Statewide Mobility Manager, she has worked at the intersection of transit access, regional coordination, and community connectivity—helping ensure residents across the state can reach jobs, healthcare, and essential services.
Her background spans military fleet operations, training, and leadership, along with hands-on experience managing public transit systems, including fixed-route and on-demand services. Throughout her career, Palmer has focused on strengthening partnerships and improving how transportation systems serve real community needs.
In her new role, Palmer will guide Advance Transit’s continued commitment to fare-free, accessible mobility across the Upper Valley—strengthening connections across the system, expanding access to everyday destinations, and improving how people get to and from transit. Her leadership will focus on keeping service reliable, welcoming, and responsive to community needs.
Advance Transit also expressed its sincere appreciation to Adams Carroll for his leadership, dedication and contributions to the organization.
